Its mostly tabloid scaremongery. There were no extra checks at Manchester airport yesterday, didnt see any armed guards, police or security.
Walked straight through customs with some throwing stars and 3 sets of bladed nunchukas.
Just as well really.

The last thwarted attack here in the US was about 2 months ago when a terrorist cell attempted to blow up a small army base.
I've heard that lately the FBI has been picking up on alot of what they call "chatter" over the wire, indicating that a major terrorist strike may soon occur. Right before 9/11 they picked up on a increased amount of the "chatter", so we should proceed with caution.

Not really. They bombed Madrid so the Spanish fannied it and brought their troops back, if they bomb the European parliament then they're back to square one again.
