This topic has been brought to my attention by TRU BASS. He said "people always experiment I just think we should take into account that this genre is so easily morphable!
a 4/4 beat and a complete different sub-genre is formed
i think we need a competition or something asking for the most "different" tracks to be produced and see how it goes!"

"Everything changes eventually anyway so why not change it now"

What I want you all to do is produce a Hardcore track which either takes it back to an original hardcore sound with a twist or a style of track that you think is the future for hardcore! I'm talking no rules, no regulations just let me hear what you've got! If you think you have a track that could make it in the scene then just let us hear a tiny parts of it to stop people stealing the full ideas or putting it up for download. You can even mess with the beats themselves to put people of file sharing!

I will be reintroducing this topic on 16/7/07 & we can look at some of the defining tunes, so wannabe producers nows your time to shine & show us what you can do!

P.S. LET'S TAKE IT BACK TO SAMPLES PLZ!

Here's a tune that I've been working on! Obviously it's still a pretty ruff version but i'm trying to take hardcore back to that old 95-96 feel with Breakbeat's mixed with 4/4 beats along with Nu style Trancecore & the world famous 303 Bassline! Just an idea that I had & produced over the past fortnight really just wanted to know what you think! Cheers! Narcotik

Cool stuff. I like the breakbeats. The only thing is that it doesn't sound fresh.

And what we're looking for are fresh sounds, right? I think what you're missing is the crisp production.

The breakbeat sections are much better than the 4/4 sections, and they aren't even particularly original.

I like the spacey synth over the breakbeat though. Although, I don't exactly hear it as something fresh.

Keep workin'. :D

Much appreciated mate! Just got the music package Reason 2 weeks ago & that's the first track I've made! Really hard to get that inyourface hardcore style you know but i've been ****ing around for ages tonight & I can't wait to show you all the real hardcore version! Sounds much more crisp & professional! was trying to combine the original hardcore style with a touch of Trancecore.

What about yourself LETO, you tryed producing yourself mate?

I'm gonna get started soon. Have to learn how to use Cubase first though :P.

Give me a year before I can produce anything decent. Although, I have helped a lot of producers fine tune their tracks.
