metallica and beastie boys... interesting combination. was pissed off we were driving round waiting for jimmy barnes, had to stop off for toilet stop, missed him.
on the radio one of the mc's was going round talking to ppl asking them what band they were waiting for. after the reply the dude asked if they supported the cause for live earth. The reply was "yeh a bit, you know, the environment". lmao

I honestly think that the concert for Diana done more for global warming than Live Earth did.
After all, the Concert for Diana was a celebration of one less car on the road.

Live Earth, concerts all over the world, you would think it would be a global thing. But no, they fly US artists all around the world :s

I like European and Asian music a lot, and at least here music channels play mostly American music. But in this "global" concert, my hate on American music industry, isnt just cause of the music:
"Bands including The Who, Muse and the Arctic Monkeys dubbed Live Earth "Private Jets for Climate Change." The event's total carbon footprint, including the artists' and spectators' travel and energy consumption, was probably at least 74,500 tonnes, according to John Buckley of CarbonFootPrint.com - more than 3,000 times the average Briton's annual footprint. Performers flew at least 222,623.63 miles (about 358,278 km) — the equivalent of nearly nine times round the planet — to take part in the event, and this figure does not include transport of technicians, dancers and support staff. An estimate reported that 100,000 planted trees are required to offset total carbon emissions produced during the entire event, as well as a key sponsor for the event being Chevrolet, promoting a new hybrid four-wheel drive."
