The room acoustics are as important to monitoring as the monitors themselves :P

Hey cool! :)
Where did the samples come from? Are they your own?
What are you using to produce these days?
Also what are your favorite hardcore tracks these days? (Just trying to figure out where you get your inspiration from)

Hey eddiewould
Yes they are my own samples. Dunno where I get my inspiration. I try to make people laugh with my track and I always laugh when I imagine that guy saying "wtf that sounds like freaking trance"
I just take my time to give everyone of my tracks something special. That starts with the song title. If the track is just plain synths without any vocals you could call it whatever you want, it wouldn't matter so much. That's the point where I look for a crazy idea to give the track something special.
That's what happy hardcore is all about. To make people happy
My most favourite hardcore track is still "MPT - Japan MPT001" as it has so great vocals. I don't understand the japanese but I just love these happy vocals and melodies.

What kinds of effects/processing did you use on the vocals?

The timestretch is the simplest effect on the vocal ;) it's called "warp" where you can make the sample "longer". also known as timestretch.
I spoke in a normal voice and put together some frequency and pitch effects, so I got this high and the deep voices. The high voice also has another effect, can't remember the name, that multiplies itself some times.
The deep voice will sound better in the mastered version as I added a compressor on Ruffage's advice.

lol I think so, too. I guess I found a new "very special friend" in Ruffage
I especially like this hard distorted kick in the track. I've never managed to let it sound so well with melody and stuff. I definately will use such kicks more often.
