Alright. So this is the second thing I've ever produced. I use Reason + Logic and am making what I want to be an old school/analog sounding blend of tech house and hardcore breaks.
I think this is a pretty good attempt. The mixdown ain't perfect, but turned up loud it's quite nice.
Let me know what you think, considering that I am very brand new at this.
This is a project in the works, and I've spent a day working on this one. I hope I'm moving in the right direction. I want to add a Roland TB-303 sound (authentic thanks to Rebirth) later. Any other thoughts?

it's not to bad to be honest, good old school kick you got, you might want to find sounds that aren't so piercing on the speakers, and percussion that will suit all together.
Nice try keep it up, Pure.

^^Mkay, but I'm trying to keep it glitchy and all. You don't think it fits one bit, or is it just the mixdown?

Sounds spot on to me! Like the glitchy riff, sounds very nice (coz of how it fits with the breaks). Keep it going! :)

that's nice, the only thing i don't like (at least on my shitty speakers) is the clap that comes in towards the end, it sounds too bland or something

It's fine on the Riff ect, just at a high volume, and mastering those really high frequencies will cause you to have to limit you're overall master, you can avoid that by maby clipping it or lowing it an octave, you don't want to ruin your fans ear drums do you. ;=)

It's actually fine musically speaking, it just needs some delay or reverb on maybe, but i don't count thinks like that when commenting on a tune (unless i'm commenting on the mixdown) so i didn't point that out :P In any case who am i to say what's bad and what isnt :P

Hmm, not liking the bass so much. Sounds dull. TBH, this sounds more like an IDM producer's attempt at garage than anything to do with hardcore. Aside from the bass, it sounds great though, but it's a little too "in between" to grab my attention. It's not ravey and lo fi, but it's not techy and hyper-polished. My suggestion is to replace the bass with a cool 303 line with loads of cutoff modulation and see where things go from there.

^^Yeah. I think I agree with you. I'm working on it, but just thought I'd try producing. I hope it's not terrible. :P

It's nowhere terrible, for someone who is only trying producing it's very good. I think that point has been totally missed here.
