Yey I had a great saturday night in the "beach club" here in switzerland. Sadly there was no hardcore at all but they had very pumping house music. Stuff that I have never heard before.
Generally I don't like house as much as I love hardcore. I always feel myself monitored by all the other people as it's all about glance and glamour. But this time it was okay. I didn't do any drugs cause I was driving (I got my license 2 months ago woohoo!) but it was fun anyway. I saw two blond girls dancing in front of me and the boys came from all sides to get to know these two hot drunk chicks. Was fun to watch I am feeling lucky to have such a great girlfriend with Nadia so I don't have to do stuff like that.
We also spent some time in the hihop area. It was okay, but suddendly the dj started to play some salsa music and my ears began to hurt. It was horrible! All the guys were dancing like it's good music but it wasn't. Nothing compared to hardcore or a goa party.
Do you also go on non hardcore events?
btw: it's very funny to see the guys you went to a party AFTER the party when they are drunk and tired and you are as healthy as ever ^^

sounds like a good night.
i usually go to local gigs and band nights (used to play at them) which are pretty good most of the time, depends whos playing!
went to a gig last night, 1st group were a hip-hop group, one mc was really good! could have done the set on his own, with out his "ganstas"
then another band, similar to Gym class heros if anyones heard of them, they were good, added there own style to "rasta" / ska / hip hop / rock... which was cool
then last band was a ska band
was cool... about as good as a hardcore rave!
so yea, i generally go to gigs and raves :D

Its goodto go to non Hardcore events sometimes, they are not as wild and do play good music in their own ways, find most mainstream dance stuff repetitiove though then you get a nbit of hip hop and an old '80s hit come on, its fun while your drunk but will never give me the same hit that Hardcore would, even Upfront Hardcore is great when out in town at the events that are hitting Bournemouth. Freeform seems to be popluar down here too.

I agree with you two. I had some great concerts, especially when I was younger and enjoyed to "get high" It was cool to chill around and listen to a ska or punk band or even reggea.
I've never been to a happy hardcore gig But once I found a little place on the streetparade where they were playing happy hardcore. I was so happy you wouldn't imagine. They played cool stuff like charly lownoise & menthal theo or so. And there were like 4 people dancing with me and we had a very good time
The most people in switzerland enjoy house music if you talk about electrical music...

glad you had a good night.... i go to plenty of non hardcore events, i have a varied circle of friends that dont all listen to hardcore so i respect the fact that they might not want to go to such events hehe. i usually dont mind the music too as long as im with my friends and having a good time thats usually all that really matters to me.
i like pubs, i dont mind some commercial type dance/house if thats the type of place... i dont really go to gigs as such because generally im not too interested in alternative type music... if im not going to a hardcore event i prefer going to a pub/club where i know all the typical pub cover songs will be played by the typical pub cover band and im drinking lots of beer (drinking anything really tho lol... but mainly beer) and getting smashed :P
