If anyone has this album, could you give me some info. on how the cd sounds? Cheesey, trancey, etc. I bought the cd off Ebay.

It's all in the name... 4-Beat = old England piano breakbeat. I shouldn't think it would be cheesy or trancey as that all came after 1995 and really a different thing.

It looked like Dutch artist though, thats why I was wondering about the cheese. Jack 'N' Phil, Fast Floor, Wendy, etc.

Those three are all from Ron Wells - a top English breakbeat artist from years gone by. Doubt there would be Dutch artists with the tag "4-Beat" as that meant old 1994/96 England breakbeat style. There might be some cheese but nothing too heavy I would of thought for that time.

Great album! I've got it myself.

It isn't Dutch, Tranceyand I wouldn't say it cheesey (well not for a hardcore album).

Very breakbeat orientated (We are Unity is a 150bpm Breakbeat Hardcore tune) with nice basslines. Some vocals & uplifting stabs/synths but not as in your face as most hardcore tunes. Off the top of my head there are tracks using the vocals from Cola Boy '7 ways' and strings from Twin Peaks theme.

Its one of my favourite compilations. However if your looking for a modern cheesey trancefest your gonna be disappointed!

Later

Fluff
