I simply like both. Though I would prefer the chipmunk vocals again, but hey, I have come to terms with myself on that one, lol. Really digging Stu Allan's remix of "Twilight" at the moment. A track cant simply become "Oldskool", but it can sound like it. Check out some of DJ Druid's new tracks, they have the old skool feel to it which is simply awsome!

I dont think I have heard the original. The one off "Hardcore Nation 2" was a remix too? I just like the melody on the Stu Allan remix.

oh shit i didnt realise that the one of HN2 was a remix, in that case iv not heard the orginal either.
i thought it because nuskool around the time of bonkers 8 & 9, so round about 20002, 203, thats where it left the old skool feel to the tracks

Hmm...I am wanting to say around late 1999 is when Nu Skool started taking effect, example: Bonkers 7 (1999). Or, "Happy2bHardcore ch.5"(2001). "H2bH Ch. 4" was even exposing some newer style tracks (for that time period), and that one came out in 2000. So ya, I would say 1999 was the big changing year from old skool to nu skool.

bonkers 7 (199) was when hardcore totaly ***** up, hence why there was no bonkers album for 2 or 3 years after that.

can't stand that stu allan remix, to me the vocal doesnt even go with the melody, loved the hardcore nation 2 remix tho, that was class. slightly off topic but there seems to be so many old skool bonus cds/releases coming at the moment and they all have very similar tracklists. Id like to see some have some earlier dougal tunes like universe (Innovate) and look at the stars (feat Mickey Skeedale) i know they were about 98/99 but a lot of great old skool releases never make it onto old skool comps.

Agree with ya on the need for more 1997-1998 tracks on cds. I would also like to hear some more Dutch & German happy hardcore cds.
