In the past couple of days, I have downloaded more or less every internet browser I could think of, thus having a chance to test each one and determine which was best. I downloaded:
- Internet Explorer 6.0
- Mozilla Firefox 2.0
- Avant Browser 11.1
- Opera 9.0
- Apple Safari 3.0
Avant wasn't even good enough to load ****ing yahoo, so no luck there. Internet Explorer and Safari were joint second last, both slow and packed hard to start up. Opera was fastest, but wouldn't play video games well, and Firefox was by far the coolest, it was fast, secure and cool looking. The only two that I kept were Firefox and Opera.
What browser do you guys use and which do you think is best?
Also I found this funny video on youtube, advertising Firfox

I'm using Opera, because Internet Explorer sucks and for whatever reason, Firefox runs extremely slowly on my computer. Has it's bugs here and there, but still a good browser.

Opera runs well on your computer probably because it's designed to run on mobile phones, so it uses very little computing power. I'm using Opera to send this message. Firefox uses more computing power, so if you have a slow computer, Opera is better. But some things about Firefox make it unique (i.e. Firefox 2.0 has a built in spellcheck, and it invented the tab) but it is true that Opera is a neat and fast browser, worth getting if Firefox is unavailable.

Opera 9.22 here
Issue's with cpu hungry Flash games, and bloated CSS (example myspace pages were every image in transparent)
brings it down, but for evrything else its great
I use it to browse the net and chat on irc

If you want peace of mind that pages and applications will load and look just how they were designed to...
Then use Internet Explorer
If you want a better interface that you can mod with 3rd party plugins
Use Firefox (it ****ing rules)
If you want a "stable" web browser!
Go find yourself some cheep freeware!

I prefer opera but run IE7 to maintain the site as most people still use IE at the moment (time of post).

I use Opera, i've used Firefox every now and then, but IMO if you want a good and fast browser Opera is the best. Firefox would reguire a lot of "tuning" for it to be good. Mouse gestures, tabs and everything work perfectly on Opera. I also use it for email at work.
