Is anyone familiar with Swap Magic?
Is this the best way to play US games on a PS2? I have one of the orignal PS2 machines.

http://www.swapmagic3.com/ From what I gather you use this disk as well as a tool to unlock the disk drive...

Looking at it. The program basically by passes the region lock on the drive fooling it into thinking its Region 1 instead of Region 2. You might have some problems due to the differences in the NTSC and Pal formats that are used for tv's but you should be fine.

Cool cool, nice one.
From what I've read it seems you should have no probs with that on a modern TV using Scart connections...
Do you think you need to enter a code for each game? Can't work it out...

It looks like it comes with a clip on piece that varies depending on which ps2, that stops it resetting the console when you change disc.
You can also use it for action replay cheat codes

Ah sweet, that's what all the codes are.
Think I'm gonna get the case they do with the flip top CD drawer, looks the most convenient..

Take a look at this...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OIK7slREBdg Looks much better than the other way it can be done. I'm guessing you were doing it the harder way to snap your disk tray?
