Nah. That's not what the people who are making it are saying anyway. It's just new "proper" Hardcore. Obviously there is gonna be new ideas to chuck in now as we're coming on 20 years from when it was first being made.

...But then i saw that bulby here already posted what i was going to say
...Personally, i can't be arsed to voice an opinion...
But rave breaks ent all that bad... Its just generally the same as nuskool breaks while also being the watered down "cash cow" of the hardcore industry!
^^^ woops, ^^^ there we go again lol... i can never hold an opinion back

which are really shite versions of the originals! and are also not from 95! (for 95wtt only) If he chilled out a bit more I'd back him up 100% on what he says about this subject, I would hate to here BDB and Slipmatt try their shite on the proper early stuff! Just ruins it completely for me this new breaks thing (to f**kin slow)

Slipmatt invented rave breaks AND hardcore,he can call it what ever he damn well likes lol.
When I met him he told me he wanted to inject a fresh vibe into music, hardcore back when he invented it had less rules and was all about having fun and wasn't feeling upfront hardcore.
I think he's probably one of the only ones that can do what he likes with old school tunes because after all, he invented the genre.
The fact that is gaining momentum as a movement goes to show that he's onto something.
Perhaps people should let go of the old cheese with the cut up amens in every tune and the same stab sound and the cheese chipmunk vocals and move on?
People whinging about how the hardcore scene isnt what it used to be remind me of old hippies who are stuck in the 70s...man.
Grow up, move on and evolve.

IMO, SY is a good example of how a DJ can change... I do NOT like the new "things" he has made, but the old sets, are just <3... but again, maybe I'm old fashion when I say that he has moved over more to the dancemania genre (mainstream) ??

Sy and Unknown nly do Upfront Hardcore now, back in the mid 1990s they did alot of breakbeat Hardcore with Techno rifts which was similar to Bouncy Techno only with more breaks tracks the The Baddest Tune and Move your body are a good example.

Nu-Skool Breaks have been around for ages before Rave Breaks were "invented". That's all Rave Breaks is, Nu-Skool Breaks.
I don't know how aware of the Nu-Skool breaks scene you are being over in Aus' mind? Just listen to it here - http://www.chemical-records.co.uk/sc/servlet/Charts?Category=BR&Type=AT&Sub=[HARDCORE] and see what I mean. He has "invented" something that already existed. I have all the respect in the world for Slipmatt but you can't invent something that has already been around for ages.
I don't really care enough about it to sit here and argue about it on the internet but I'm just putting the point across. I don't care that he is remixing old tunes either, it doesn't spoil the old versions for me and I like some of the new mixes.

People have been doing breaks remixes of old school tunes for years as well
