hey guys
im from western australia and next year im going to the UK for a month, seeing relatives and touristy things.
what is the best time of the year to go events wise? never been there before and im going to be there for 3 or 4 weeks. so just wondering when the biggest and best events are
im into all avenues of hardcore, RBC, BB, NG etc
thanks for any ideas and prob see some of you next year

That's hardly all avenues of hardcore ;)
If you're wanting big commercial hardcore events there is always a couple of big parties in the summer around this time of year, hardcore awards are normally around Novemberish and new years eve is always a safe bet.
TBH there is normally at least one big event a month somewhere in England and lots of small ones every weekend.

Yeah plenty of those every weekend but only ever gabber and a bit of harder freeform on the odd occasion hardcore wise.
You're up north from me aren't you Jax? I'll PM you my phone number and if you lot are ever on the mission for a party one weekend I might be able to point you in the right direction ;).
I was also meant to find out numbers for rigs local to you wasn't I.  Forgot all about that. Where you near? I'll have an ask about but I'm mainly familiar with parties daaan saaaf.

BTW... Most smaller riggs will let you play if you bring some records and stay long enough into the next day. If you're up for coming down to one of ours sometime you could def' jump on the decks ;)

Thats cool, im not really into uk hardcore lately, dance valley opened my eyes upto techno  (definatly not the minimal stuff though lol)

Yeh you said you were going to get me some info on north parties, i just assumed you couldnt find anything.
Which county do you have yours in? Deffo up for havin a mix, ive not got anything suitable apart from trance / hardstyle / freeform unless i bought some new stuff, ill keep in touch over the phone rather than online

Our area is generally Bucks and Oxon but we have done London before as well.
Hardstyle would be fine mate. I would like to say anything would go but quite often the sort of crowd you get at free parties turn there nose up at stuff that is cheese or euphoric...
You'll find it's mainly Techno (not minimal ;)), Hard Style/Trance/House (only the harder stuff), Hardtek, Breaks, Gabber, Breakcore, odd bit of DnB/Jungle, Psy Trance etc. You might get surprised though, I've heard pretty much everything, Ska, Metal, Happy Hardcore...
