been mainstream for a couple of years now dont listen to Upfront Hardcore much, when I do its just the same, listen once skip a few tracks then back on with the Bouncy Techno and Old Skool Gabber that im leaning towards these days, alos getting into a bit of breaks as well the only 'new' Hardcore I listen to is Freeform yet I fear that is going to go mainstream soon what with this 'remixes' of Hard Dance on some compallations I might do what 95_was_the_time does and make beats with some pots and pans...
Hardcore was better in 1996

Freeform is already watered down and Trancy :P
When i say Trancy i don't mean that its bad because Trance is bad, Trance (at least 1999-2001 stuff) is extremely good! In Hardcore though, no, it dosn't work, not when it's commercial Trance (crap) that's being copied :P

yeah totaly the older trance /hardcore remixes were cool but some ran a little far with the idea and there are a lot of crap tunes that have been made into crap hardcore wich upsets me as once apon a time i only knew of about 2 or 3 hardcore tracks i didnt like but now well some of them are jus plain out of tune and thats wrong i even (95 was the) could make better trax and that is truly wrong
but one good thing from all this is that the producers finaly get some money for there art
and i am down with that
no one is stopping us from making good tunes !

Anwser: NO!
Intill you start seeing it plastered all over MTV Dance, and 1000s of producers cashing in on the market!
And thats not forgeting having every hi street club up and down town blasting the music every day of the week! 24/7!
Lets just say, if you come to birmingham for a rave - you won't be going down digbeth - you'll be dragging yourself down broad street...
At the moment - that phase is "Electro House"
And as the comment says - a "phase" - One day something else will be the next big thing... its just how it works!
...You Landed back in reality yet?
Point of intresst for you: The music industry works like this - the public are seen as "the fickle public" (meaning there "thik") - They ent as passainte about music as me and you would be, they just wanna go and have a good time...
Now anwer me - get a trance anthem... and a UK hardcore anthem...
As a member of the public "whats the diffrance"
The awser you'll get is something like this.
A1 "The 2nd one is shit!"
A2 "I'm not a Pillhead!"
A3 "AV IT!!!! (big brother nobber!)
A4 "Thats to fast for me!"
A5 "ermmm. one is faster?"
^^^^ Tell me - WHY do you possably think that hardcore could EVER go mainstream!
I hate to break this to you guys - but its stuff like darwin and cube::hard that are making the music more original and have more of a "trademark" within the EDM Industy!
If theres ANYONE whos capable of breaking this music into the clubs - Its these guys!
Now you may sit there behind your computer screens and moan about that...
...But... Your not part of an industry, business, or better yet... over the age of 18 and have to put food on the table!
Guys - MUSIC IS A BUSINESS! LIFE IS A BUSINESS! HARDCORE IS A BUSINESS!
Money makes the world go around - Grow up!

I agree with the fact that hardcore is a business, but to be successful it needs to be good and have an audience, were I live ((portland,or.)) good hardcore is unheard of, all we have is new age pop songs remixed to a jungle beat. its downright shameful how many people I have asked say they don't know what hardcore is, even techno for that matter. point being, no, unless we can get some amazing DJ's out here, nothing is going to change.

...you always bring up something about your "own beats". I have yet to see a post that says "a 95 mix" by you, unless I missed it somewhere.
