I was wondering if anybody knew where i could get some hardcore vocals or acapellas for remixing? It's startin to get boring working without lyrics and sure as hell can't sing so can someone please help me out here.

when you register you have to wait 10 days till you can download any, but it's well worth the wait, there are loads on there,
if your after something inpaticular, post a thread in the producing/gear talk section, they are all friendly & will upload it if they have it. never know i might have it got loads here.

or just search around the net. i've found about 3gigs of stuff around the place. there's a lot of crap, but a lot of good stuff too

Ok so as you can tell i have just joined (think this will be post number 5) and please believe me i am not meaning to come accross as a dick but sharing accapellas IMO is just as bad as sharing the full track. Both are copyrighted

having the accapella is totally different to the whole track, if you have the accapella you are probably a producer who is working on a remix of the track, the original artists will get royaltys if the remixed track is ever released.
unless your dj plankin & claim the track is your own lol

I never said it wasn't i just pointed out that these are also copyrighted but hey do as you want i ain't the RIAA:)

in reply to the guy who said stealing the accapella was a bad thing. I think so too. i aint a d**khead producer who says other peoples material is theirs. I give people the credit they deserve.
i was wondering if u had any of styles' stuff or CLSM? if u can get the midi that would b useful too. thanks guys

as far as sharing accapella's go - its not as bad as sharing a full track.
you cant pay for accapella's in the first place - so you're not ripping anyone off if its used for personal use - like to further your production...i mean how else are you going to learn? buy all the equipment necessary, write lyrics you're not experienced with, record stuff you're not experienced with, when you have virtually no idea about music theory just to PRACTICE making tracks.... what if you find out you dont enjoy it? Thats a lot of money and time down the drain for nothing.
BUT you DO cross a line when you distribute that track for free/for money without confirming its okay with the original writers/copyright holders and giving due credit and royalties.
