how do you work that one out? Hardcore heaven 4 was Oct 06, Best of Bonkers was Jan 07. I know it not upfront, but its still another in the Bonkers series.

To be fair, Hardcore has genrally be fairly dry this year... i havn't herd alot news passed around at all... even though i've been involed in other genres and away from hardcore, you normally still hear the odd peaces of gossip...
But this year - nothing...
It is generally drying up...
[oh, and probs cuse other stuff either got ignored or pasted off as junk mail :P]
Hey not a bad thing though... afterall you never know what you've got till its gone... (probs what a few people on this forum need [i won't say no names])
Me myself, I've been listening to the odd UK hardcore track over the summer... brings back memorizes! The best summer music ever in my opionion! - It just gives you that "summer buzz" and probs will contuine to till the day i die

They could be waiting until theres no other albums around(Freeform wise up , hardcore NG jst nw )
So that it gets all the marcket
Hardcore seems to have to gone through phases this year one month we'll get 2 album then go for a good 3 moths with nothing
Not on if you ask me :P
If SB featuring on both HH5 and B17 then this will be a busy 2nd part of the year for him New album 2 mixes and a film
I'd imagine he'll only be on one this year (probably bonkers 17, Brisk Back On HH5 anyone?)
And it'll proably come out after his own album so we don't get a sneak preview of his new track (Mind you if his bonkers mix this year is like others it ill be identical. No disrepect to the guy I think he's god =) )
On the 1st disc i wouldn't be surprised if Squad-e was on with Hixxy and it'll probably be a RB showcase With remixs of clubland tracks left right and center then a few quality ones ruined by

i think its general marketing why we go so long without albums. the influxes of albums always seem to be summer and xmas. with a few others dotted around the calender.
Resist will only promote one hardcore album at a time i reckon. We have just had wise up get stupid, sharkeys album is due soon which will be on resist. I am expecting HH5 before B17 as HH4 was almost a year ago.
I prefer the HH series over Bonkers anyway, and if the line up being rumoured is correct, its gonna be a wee bit special.

Well, change my opinion. I think its good that there is a lot of new stuff being released, gotta push forward ya know, but the bad thing with too many releases is that everything sorda runs together...same tracks on diffrent cds, etc. Give the producers time to produce their tracks. We need a good out-stretch period, maybe 1-2 Albums at the beginning of the year...1-2 in the middle, and 1-2 towards the end to wrap everything up. And dont forget the old skool mixes, but leave out the tracks that have came out on the past few cd releases.

i'm luving the idea of wise up get stupid! finally a completely freeform album as oppose to the odd disc here or there on another compilation which only ever seems to be partly freeform, mostly bouncey stuff.
but as to bonkers 17, i think givin everyone a while away from it would be a good lil marketing stategy. make everyone think its gone, then all of a sudden smash its way back to the forefront of the hardcore community's attention in a blaze of glory and fresh and exciting new tracks!
the compilation i'm REALLY looking forward to this year if the one the FiNRG guys are doing!
for innovativeness, originality and musical creativity and rawness i think it'll blow everything else outta the water! those guys know how to make tunes!
can't see it coming anywhere near the sales figures, but who cares.

really? I thought it was good lol There was some tracks on there I hadn't had so it wasn't just what people have already heard before lol
