Sharkey all the way. Nobody has done more for Hardcore than him. The guy is a ****in' pro and nobody should even get a mention this year apart from him. (In that category)

The NU-Rave Team over at NU-Rave.com!
Big Big Respect for pushing a new scene inside of hardcore and saving people like me from tottally ****ing hardcore off for good!
... I'm sorry, what was it you was saying mole?
Nu-Rave.com have Affectively been the biggest contributers this year in pushing the sound of hardcore breaks into the hardcore & breakbeat industries... They have countlessly and passionating put the time and effect in with the site, events ect and even RADIO!
Sharkey does deserve it aswell yes... but i think closer to home the nu skool rave scene needs to be reflected - its passably the biggest innovative and groundbreaking thing this year! and its just exploded and toke off 50 times bigger this year then the past few.
So what is NU.Rave.com put so much effot into.....?
Well... Hardcore Breaks is a scene that is....
Affectively its SAVING hardcore!
Its bringing back the ROOTS of hardcore!
Its giving people more RANGE within the hardcore scene & industry
It attracts more fans!
It stops old time moaning ****s from complaining!
And its allowing people to EXPLORE hardcore to its full!
that is "Outstanding Contribution"
So my vote doesn't go to a person... its goes to a whole team and workforce!
That is NU-Rave.com!
AV IT!

i happen to agree with sk8sim on this one.
sharkey is the greatest contributor to hardcore over th past 5-10years DEINATELY imo, but this is the 2007 awards, and for that reason, and that reason alone, i wouldnt put sharkey.
on the basis of anything else, definately sharkey, without a shadow of a doubt.

I know these are "UK Hardcore Awards", but saying that you know nothing about Hardcore is ********. From what i have gathered Sharkey has done shit loads to Freeform and is generally a really good person. But Freeform does not equal to Hardcore. There are many that have done loads for Makina, Gabber, Frenchcore, Japanese Hardcore, Happy Hardcore etc...

I hope you're joking. I think he should be banned from producing, his tracks are pretty much consistently the worst tracks released every year. I have NO idea how he gets bookings, how he got signed to anything or why he's mixing compilations. SO BAD.
As for the topic at hand, Sharkey definately HAS done alot for hardcore but not in 2007. His album hasn't come out and there really hasn't been any concrete achievements from him this year.
I can't think of anybody that's done anything crazy this year to be honest... Maybe CDJay for doing the Hardcore Underground/taking new producers under his wing?

hes been around in Hardcore for Donkey years, hes also one of the few UK DJ's thats popular in Europe aswell as here, promotes and been involved in more than one style, I also like lots of his tracks old and new, and Sharkey's got enough support on here already!

Sharkey or Slipmatt.
Sharkey for the huge contributions to freeform, and Slipmatt for SL2 and the SMD series. Without SMD, there may very well have never been happy hardcore, and that has to count for something.
