Does anyone here know how to make basic flash interfaces? I think it's time the internet has a better resource for figuring out subgenres of EDM than Ishkur, so why don't we make a guide to electronic music of our own? At the least, a similar thing for hardcore (and the many places hardcore has gone). I could write the descriptions/provide the samples (well, a lot of them at least), and someone else could make the actual thing. Anyone up for it?

I think the problem with that is, peoples opinion differ on what actual genres are.
For example. If you asked me what Hardcore is id you you bonkers.
If you asked anyone else in australia what Hardcore is, they'd play you gabber.
What im trying to get at is, what makes your word law?

well i think its a brilliant idea and would be more then willing to donate my time if i knew how to use flash of anything similar :P

well, I don't really like the whole genre-manual idea in the first place because any given style is way too diverse to accurately describe it... but if it has to be made then it sure as hell should be better than that damn ishkur guide (how I hate that guide!).

Already in the works mate!
Give it another 3-5 years and SiMPliciTy will be launched!
Which will be an interactive community aswell... so you call the shots!
Tons more information and resources linking to history, events, production and stores!
[for each and every style & form of EDM]
And don't worry about the whole "peoples opinions differ... as we've worked away around that in which no one can argue about! [trust me]
At the moment EDM is going though alot of changes though... Theres alot of styles and genres crossing eachs others paths and new styles coming through!
That aswell as the fact that i need to get my life on a stable roote aswell as invest time and money into it!
Theres already been alot of planning and paperwork done for the project - still tons more research to be done and the compnies structure has still to be finilised... there will however be a chance for employment - vacancies for the sales, marketing, web and PR departments will be available in due time!
Just hold your horses though - when its lunched you'll know about it! as one of them investments is a HUGE marketing compain!
It been reviewed and expected to be very exciting and to take the nation by storm...
Here at simplicity we know that to make such a project now would be a waste of time...
We predict that the industries and the project both won't be ready for such exploting intill a good 3-5 years time!
Just give it time

In due time - if you wanted... [and we'll see what silver says]... i could design a prototype project exclusively for happyhardcore.com [only for hardcore (including dnb) ofcource]
It would give us a great means of understanding an efetive interface aswell as benifit you guys and give you a sample of whats to come!
Don;t worry about research and paper work... as for the hardcore indutry we've got that covered to the mark!
However, a suggestions forum [mabie even give it a stickily] would be a great idea... were people can bring there knowledge, experience and opinions to the table... we can use that as good research and practice to making the project more accreate...
however like previously stated... we have the most officiant and best structure when its comes to labeling EDM music... no one can beat it and/or argure once you see...
I'll keep you posted... but it could see what i can do...
