just like hardcorebreaks is a revival of the 91-93 sound?
I still listen to bonkers 1&2 and fall in love with the gritty sound and whacky melodies, this seriously needs to come back and maybe it will, history is always repeating it self.
all those big names need to **** off cause they have ruined it all. Bonkers was called bonkers because it was bonkers sounding. I wanna destory all their Cubases and cleaning products and hand em over a cd with a trackersoftare install and 8bit samples.

I was expecting to see somthing like that lol I like it the way he talks 'technical' talking about 8bit samples what ever they are lol
I myslef was wondering if there will be a Bouncy Techno comeback one day, although I am no longer into just 95/96 sounding Hardcore, I am now liking Hardcore from 1993 as well after listening to Carl Cox at Fantzia Big Bang! An amazing mix there and shows it wasnt just 95/96 that was good, but the two years before it are great in my ears awell

8 bit samples are essentially those god-awful sounds that come out of midi players from time to time. remember monotonic ring tones and the early (80's) video game music?
Oh and bonkers still does sound more or less "bonkers". i would hardly call their releases normal music. To the average listener it would definately sound bonkers

I agree, I would love for the wacky insane melodies to come back, like a lot of Druids new stuff. But at the same time, there are many tracks I love from the new stuff, and love the good euphoric melodies! But I miss the chipmunks and cheese. Maybe we can start pushing the speed limit on Happy Hardcore...maybe 180-185 cd mixes....something surprising & unexpected.

yes you could, but im not sure that the right direction to move on to is backwards. There are people out there who are trying to bring new life to hardcore and they are moving into the breakbeat/breaks area but staying away from the ultra cheesy 8 bit sound you were talking about and i really got no problem with that
