found out a few weeks ago that a 'commercial' co-write got signed by AATW and it looks like they're will be more. i was extatic!! as a songwriter 'only' i've struggled more say than a producer/songwriter. i've had to prove myself worth working with on nothing more than top-line/lyric ideas. all but none want finished VOX to work with. to be honest, at times it's been a ball-ache. the good news is that everyone i've worked with, i've been signed with

the reason this is in the right forum section is that HARDCORE gave me my 1st break! and i feel i cut my teeth here, developing etc. i personally love the innocence in the lyrical themes/melodies of HARDCORE (no narcisism) i know i've posted my releases here a while back, but from the xlent feedback on the tracks, it's been worth it. ok i may make more on my day job, lol, but i'm with the analogy, 'hardcore till i die'. everyone's so fanatical

in another light, i'm also intrigued by members who wince at top hardcore producers 'crossing over' into the commercial world of dance. i can see their point, as they devote so much time to 'following' them. but after all, we are 'goal seeking' machines and maybe like me people constantly wanna push the boundaries of achievement (nothing to do with deserting!!) who wouldn't do the same??!!

if i'm lucky enough to get a run with AATW, which as songwriter i feel i'm good enough, i'd still love to still work with established producers/engineers/songwriters in hardcore. this may seem like an epitath, but strong collabs are thin at the moment. who knows?? but after contributing to getting many 'original' songs on all the top HARDCORE comps over the last 3yrs the stress has been worth it! i grew to appreciate HARDCORE

Best... an avid HARDCORE fan

Thats great mate, your job is a songwritter so you should be happy no matter where your tunes go. As a songwritter you have to keep an open plate sometimes in order to make a living. If your passion is hardcore of course don't stop with the hardcore tunes :) Hopefully an AATW release will give you some cash which will give you some time to write some more hardcore tunes :)

Bollocks to them :P
Everyone has to make a living, they are no different! What's even worse is that nearly all of the people who complain, if given the chance, would do exactly the same thing! Even if they say they wouldn't. Who is going to say no to lots of money lol?
