"Words/phrases that piss you off"
.....
Should there be a 95 revival.

Phrases that piss me off:
'Wake up Jay, it's morning'
'We're all out of beer'
'Wazzup!?'
'Word!'
'Hi, I'm Barry Scott!'

people at my work place if having a go will start the sentence with 'Im not being funny but...'
that really ****s me off, why do you need to say 'I'm not being funny but....' why don't you just be hardcore (like me) and tell them straight?
also, I don't know about hating 'innit'. if you actually know your facts, the word 'innit' was used way back in the 60s, in London by the working class, it's not a 'NEW' word, it isn't a 'street' word. It's just lazyness, but good lazyness.
at the moment, im wondering if the UK actually have our own words, why do we say 'mate' that's what the Aussies use, and why 'buddy', that's what the Americans use.
Why are we borrowing other countries words and sayings, we say like 10% french sayings in a month probably.
and I speak for the rest of the UK, but isn't it time we can have a 1940s revival? tally ho old bean? one does like a cup of tea in their fine moments of lessure old boy.

quite interesting
i dont have the most accentuated accent, but i have been saying gday and mate and them together for as long as i can remember, and i cant say iv ever felt like an ass. Maybe you queenslanders are just to sophisticated for us. All bow down to the banana benders.
But then the queensland aussie accent sounds almost mew zealandish. "cn i hav sm fsh n chps ples", so yeh i can understand you lot hating the normal aussie accent and being less than welcoming to the proper accent of the darwinese and the nullarborians. Hence i'm sure you will understand if i dont take your opinion very seriously. If we simple shire boys give up on the aussie accent, within ten years the mainsteam australian city accent will be a mix of philippino, chinese, curry and (thanks to channel 10) american.
Not that there is anything wrong with philo's, i generally find their women quite attractive actually. Nothing wrong with the rest either, especially the americans, wouldnt want to upset them. Stars and stripes all the way.
haha accentuated accent
wow i dont think ive managed to squeeze that much sarcasm into a post before

And i live in sydney, i hardly have a "over-accentuated" accent but i still say mate. Im rpetty sure eveyrone else who is aussie except you says mate. Even Indians and Asians in our country say mate. Its an Australian thing. EVERYONE does it. Think of it like masturbation.

Calling pop 'Soda', i hate that!
Calling soft drink "soda" or "pop". both names are crap. 'pop' doesnt even make sense, and theres no soda in soft drink either. Strictly, soda refers to a sodium salt, where soft drinks contain carbonic dioxide.
Therefore Australia rules by common sense and sheer awesomeness
Edit:
"In the UK Soda Water is nearly always made with Sodium Bicarbonate"
yep, lets just add baking soda to water and drink it.
Australia still rules
I have found something worse than calling your carbonated beverage "pop" or "soda".
In texas they call all soda coke regardless of the flavor. :p
