Been listening to alot of Jspr's mix with Dutch classics today and after been getting into Bouncy techno alot over the last year I am chooseing Happy Gabber. I wouldnt listen to Nu Style at a rave as it is too much noise formy liking but the bassdrums that are used in 1994-1997 gabber are some of the best I have had the plesure of hearing!

1996/1997, happycore still going strong here and the gabber was stepping it up a notch, leaving the happy to the happy hardcore and going back to hard raveable stuff.
in other words: the golden years :D

happy gabber is a term that UK and US ppl use to indicate the oldskool dutch hardecore that is in essence gabber but was heavily influenced by happy hardcore because that was a good moneymaker back in the day.
just look up the tracklist to thunderdome 11, it's full of that stuff.
Around here we just call it oldskool hardcore.
