Im old enough and I love hardcore. Yeah I admit there are some tracks I aint keen on and some artists I aint keen on , but im not going to sit here n run them down. They are part of the hardcore family, producing and creating hardcore music, without them, there would be no scene.
I have to say, I dont like breaks ! lol Not saying its crap, just saying its not for me.

I think Paul Elstak's 'I love Hardcore' is classic chesse lol Hard bassdrums and a sample from the kids TV show Barney (the purple dinosor who is nice to everyone) Although Paul Elstak's 'Bass' isnt what what I would call cheesy lol
don't forget the master Lenny Dee did that track aswell! the remix was good aswell! but this is a top tune!

I mainly like Gabber, Digital hardcore.
I do love the happy hardcore 90's uk (some)
mainly love the dutch stuff, paul elstak, charly theo etc
Even the bloody Hakkuh & Flippuh stuff what is Big Time Cheese!
but not big fan of the new freeformation/uk hardcore at the moment... too many vocals... fed up of some people thinking it's happy hardcore.... happy hardcore i know is what i state above.

I grew up on 80's electro/ freestyle/ synth new wave pop. It will always be a part of me. Right now I've been hunting down mid- nineties trance. . . . and guess what? A lot of the techniques used to make those tracks were bad!!! Rough samples, harsh synth pads and just plain sloppy time signatures. To me this is what makes them special. Like Frolic I think Happy Hardcore music takes things a bit further. As Cheesy as it gets Happy Hardcore has that emotional rush ALL music is lacking these days. Some tracks are better than others, but in the hands of someone with the right mixing skills the feeling I get listening to this stuff is Epic. I just can't get enough!
