Hi peoples, haven't been on here for ages, but i got a new job. Full time and i start tomorrow at 8:30am-5pm monday to friday. But i think i am not going to like it. Its working for a big newspaper up here and its in the features section, apparently very stressful due to being on deadlines.

The advantage is that if you do ok its impressive on resume. shows u good with deadlines and stress

Good luck, a new job isnt always easy at the start but if you let yourself get used to it you will be fine!

Bah! Deadlines are a piece of piss, to meet a deadline all you have to do is structure your day effectively, and that will come with experience.

No i hate it already, i am selling the ad space to businesses. It so expensive too to buy a small space so no one want s to do it. So then its on my back when things dont get sold. So i have applied for about 5 new jobs today.
oh dear, its not the pressure its the selling over the phone.

telesales is really hard to do! when they phone me in work (every day) I just say no thanks! without thinking of the person on the other side of the phone like you! its just relentless! find a new job quick!
