F###ing hell, threads keep descending into these silly arguments which have nout to do with the original topic. I posted a thread about a year back where I veered off topic and someone complained like I'd committed a huge crime.
On topic, the album is quite good. The third cd has some excellent tunes, Dougals and Gammers tunes are as expected excellent, although I hate the remix of I say I love you. Their new tune with Jenna is another quality vocal tune by them. The S & U disc from what i've heard so far is a vast improvement on their almost never ending cycle of 2007 remixes of their own recent tunes. The Mcing is similar to when Storm appeared on the Mixmag Cd; mc'ing in places and doesn't really ruin any of the songs.
All in all I'd give it 7/10 - some great new tunes, cd3 is excellent and I thought it would be only ok. The only problem is their needed to be a variation in artists but it is a label compilation anyway so that was evident anyway.
Off topic I really think Gammer should mix a cd on a complilation by himself. I love his work with Dougal yet his own mix would probably have had some freeform and gabba which would have given the cd a bit of needed variation.

Thanks for the info. I will still buy this album though. I don't mind MC'ing as long as it ain't too much & too over the top.

They will lose sales from having mc's on here, hope they learn their lesson.
You dont have a mind of your own! You just do what 'The Man' tells you! You are a order-following drone! You HAVE to like MCing because most other people do, and if most other people do then it MUST be the right thing!
....Just thought I'd wind you up a bit. Hahaha ;)
Anyway, I have True Hardcore now and Ive gotta say D&G's CD is awsome (its all Ive listened to so far) - It'll be staying in my CD player til atleast HCU:2/Bonkers 17

i got this the day it came out and i love it, the MC'ing doesn't wreck it because its not constant, it comes in on bridges on some tracks and spices it up, the scratching is top notch, plus dougal and gammer's cd is the best mix i have heard in ages, really great tracks! sy's cd is awesome too its well worth getting :)

Bought it today, scanned through and it seems ok. Will reserve proper judgement until a proper listen has taken place.

get away is a terrible track, even gammer's mix, and i usually like his stuff. just goes to show you a crap track is a crap track no matter who you get to remix it.
i don't like anything frisky and hujib have done, ESPECIALLY hold me forever. i actually want to gouge out my eardrums with a sharp object anytime i hear any of the stuff they have produced. the vocals just irritate me.
"i need to get away, right away, run away, can't hold back there's no time like today"
don't even get me started on hold me forever.
*barf* so generically lame. stick to the non-vocal stuff.
haven't heard this CD tho.

For some reason (i can't quite put my finger on) this CD really hasn't interested me at all.
Will listen to some more comments before i decide whether to buy it or not.
