my cousin showed it to me
he was explaining all the different styles of EDM to me with examples
He told me that was happyhardcore. I fell in love with it.
He had also shown me prog house, trance, psytrance, techno, drum & bass, etc. though

Hmm...pretty sure it was Bang!-Shooting star (downloaded on Limewire because I wondered who DJ Hixxy was, and that was mislabeled as a Hixxy song.) Thought it was the worst thing I ever heard and happy hardcore was annoying and stupid, and anybody who liked hardcore was out of their mind. Quickly came to learn otherwise, obviously.

It was Geos feat Becky - Everyday I think. I started doing BodyCombat and there are a couple of HC tunes in every release. It was either Everyday or N-Trance - Set You Free (Hixxy Remix) (from Bonkers 9), I can't remember if I did release 20 or 21 first as both were going at the same time at my gym.

I feel so childish when I listen to that track! I love it to death though! One of Dougal's best tracks.

Was back in 2000 I'm pretty sure, in the computer labs this crazy Asian dude was playing Anabolic Frolic - Happy 2B Hardcore chapter 3. I'm not sure which tunes - I think it was Eurolove, Shooting Star, Break of Dawn and Eye Opener. Anyway, when I first heard it I thought it sounded like Aqua on speed and actually laughed at him! Somehow I heard it a couple more times and ... well the rest is history!
The guy who introduced me to it hasn't listened to hardcore since about 2001 - he listens to hard house exclusively now.

dougal was the original producer of that track, yes. the northern lights version is muuuuuch better IMO
and the first track i ever heard was eyeopener. i still think it's one of the best ones out there.
