For me it's 8 weeks at summer + 1 week in november + 2 weeks in december + 1 week in februari + 2 weeks at Easter = 14 weeks = 3 months and two weeks of holls. Best thing about being a student.

Yep was 20 days/4 weeks, changed to 24 days today as well as the increase in the min wage.
It was changed because some companies were counting days given off for B/h as holiday days, which wasn't in the spirit of the law.

10 weeks over summer, 4 at winter, 1 in autumn and spring, and an arbitrary week (engineering week at the uni)

What's the average "week" over there then? 5 working days (Mon - Fri) and 2 days (Sat/Sun) off?

for your sake i hope my mother doesnt read that. she'd hunt you down and kill you. for her the school holidadys are either to catch up on marking everything, and preparing for the next term. dunno if thats the way with all teachers - sumhow doubt its like that in the public system.

Depends on the company but most companies
9am - 9pm+, no overtime pay, no sick pay, no holidays, 5 person days off (including sick days). Base salary is nothing special. Some companies also make you work saturday.
Benefits, company pays for your transport to work (train only) and health insurance (but what it covers is extreamly limited and 50 year old medicine - no joke!).
