I don't wanna annoy people with a big spam about helping people everywhere; we've all been bombarded by it for years, but this is one thing that I found when at a recent trade expo so i thought i'd share it.
the website is called everyclick.com, and it is a search engine that donates 50% of its revenues to charity. The better thing about this as well though is that if you sign up to it (which is also free and doesn't throw spam at you) you can pick a charity to associate with your account so every search you make or link you click will generate money for your selected charity.
Like I say I don't mean to be annoying but I just think its such a nice easy way to raise money for charity just for doing what you'd normally use google or yahoo for.

They get money from selling that information to third party companys, how much of that money goes to charity?

They don't pass any of your information on to third parties (or you can opt to not have your details passed; one of the two).
As i say though, everything they raise from any means through that site is halved between themselves and the charities that are signed on to them (i was told that they have every registered charity in the UK on their site).
For those that don't sign up and select a charity for the money to go to, that money is simply divided up and sent across different charities.

If they didnt sell anything to anyone, they wouldnt make money, if they dont make money, they couldnt give anything to charity. Anyway on the site it says "everyclick allocates 50% of its gross revenue to charity each month."

Hmm...I thought it was through clicking adverts or something. Well I'm no expert on the site, they are just a company I saw at a trade expo and I thought it sounded like a good thing, so thought I'd share it.

Ahh yes, well I might as well reveal.
It fell through. Never got ANY of the surveys back that i sent out to everyone. (couldn't believe i didn't actually get one back!)
We did launch it but i think it was just too rushed and the launch wasn't made big enough to make an impact and get the ball rolling.
Anyway yea, that was that. Cheers for remembering though dudester!

yeh everything good, all my clothes were on my drive saturday morning which isn't so good so im a bit fooked at the moment for accomodation lol apart from that though crackin!
