i just did a fair bit of travel around europe so maybe i can give a bit of advice...
amsterdam i heard from other ppl from the UK was quite cheap to get to with the bullet train if that interests you... i stayed at some hostel... it wasnt anything special but it was in a good location... close to train station and red light district... i cant remember the name of but if your keen i can look it up if you want... just pm me...
paris was quite expensive, but i stayed in a budget hotel about 26k's from the city... decent hotel, close to metro station (bout a 10 min walk) and they have a really good public transport system... it was explained to me once and after using the systems once you pretty much get the hang of it... the place i stayed at there was Premiere Classe in Bussy St Georges
vienna was nice also... i stayed with relatives tho so i cant give u any tips for accommodation... sembron is a nice attraction though...
didnt get a chance to go to Budapest but i heard Budapest is insane!!! go to budapest and tell me if its true hehe! yes ive made your decision for you! Budapest it is! hehe

I love Paris, I've been a few times and always really enjoyed it.
I think it would be even better if I could speak French, feels a bit rude going round grunting at everyone in the hope they can speak English lol
How about Barcelona? I was meant to be going with my university in 3rd year but they blatantly just told us that before we started to entice us in and then never mentioned it again

You'd probably enjoy it less if you could understand what they're saying, Parisians are ****s!

Forget Amsterdam! Don't know why everyone goes there... Rotterdam is where it's at in Holland.
