Made this tune a little while back. Still not quite done yet; it needs a lot of polish, but it's mostly finished. If anyone has any advice to give it would be greatly appreciated.

Alrighty :)
Well the good:
- Sound engineering is mostly nice
- Nice melodies
Things that can be improved:
- Kick could be more prominent (I think?)
- Could use more variation in percussion
- I found up to 1:50 too repetitive
- At 4:00 I think you need a crash or something to signify the percussion dropping - it seems too sudden otherwise.
Good stuff :)

I thought musically it sounded OK but...
The bass needs changing up, it plays on the same note through the entire track.
I don't like the bass sound used at all, it's very dull and not nearly big enough.
Melody stops very suddenly at 04:55!?
The kicks dont have nearly enough punch on them, they're dull.
Levels are very all over the place and EQ isn't great in places.
Dont think the panning on the pads is very smooth... Has it been done note for note in steps rather than an automated slide? Perhaps layer in another pad at a dif' frequency that sits central so it doesn't take so much of the track away from the centre.
Are you only using an open hat and a clap? How about adding a nice ride, closed hat and a snare.
Sorry if that sounds a tad harsh it's not meant to be. Think it could be really good with some fixing on the engineering side.

Okay, thanks. Wasn't really happy with the bass myself, and I figure the percussion could use some beefing up. Can't see where anyone gets sudden from though. Could just be that it makes perfect sense in my head and nobody else's, but everything seems to flow logically, although it's in need of a few rises/reverse claps or crashes. As for the panning, I automated that on a curve, so it's a tad odd that it sounds as sudden as it does.
I'll definitely get some work done on the engineering side though.
