im looking for a computer to start a music production setup, i want to be able to run cubase 4 or one of the other sequencers, im tight on budget atm but i will get a new job or 2 n will save up but want to get the ball rolling n later get the software n things like studio monitor speakers, microphone etc.. thanks in advance :)

The most expensive one you can afford!
I just bought a core2duo 3ghz with 4GB ram. You want to be looking at that sort of set-up really.
Lots and lots of ram is very important.
A decent video card is not going to be important unless you're using it for other things.

Nae worries.
ATM I'm using FL 7, Kontakt 2, Korg Legacy series, Superwave series, V-Station and a few other bits and pieces which will all be moved over. I've been planning to try Cubase out for a while but not got round to it yet.

The FTP I had been using seems to be down now but I'll sort out some links tonight when I get home from work.
Unfortunately I can't link my very latest stuff as it's due out on digital release but I've got a few older bits I'm happy to share :)
