I may be missing the joke here but why is it on all of his youtube mix's he has the same two records on the decks?

And cue's the same record in at the same time and plays a different track? Is it some kind of crazy pc mixing peripheral?

he uses those vinyls that link into your pc for virtual mixing.

either illegal downloads or he ripped them.... (assuming ripped) but occasionally, you see him pop on a real vinyl?

dunno. his mixes aren't even all that spectacular.

it is funny to watch him bounce around in his room

say what. that they are illegally downloaded? because i know for a fact that quite a few tracks i've heard on there are not available for download, and clearly he has an mp3/wav file on his computer considering he's using serato or something similar to it.

and i said i don't find his mixes all that spectacular because i don't.... find... them... all that.... spectacular. i can't really think of more of a reason than that.

i didn't say he's a bad DJ.

and i think it's funny to see him bounce around because i think it's funny to see DJs rockin out to their music of choice.

.... does that clear things up slightly?

as far as ripping tracks you own without distributing them, i don't believe there is a problem owning a backup of something you own. there isn't a problem there unless he in fact HAS downloaded anything

Ravine's mixing is pretty low level...needs to EQ and needs to follow structure better.
Scratching patterns are interesting but off beat and therefore annoying

I'm also not down with people playing unreleased tracks they've ripped off CDs, that's gaytown.
Bad IMO.

it is hard to follow structure when he's trying to make a mini mix for youtube, i'll admit, but... it just sounds like he's trying to squish as much as he can into a short period of time.

i think he's going for quantity over quality here

serato is supposed to be better but it costs more so its down to what you can afford at the time

do a bit of google'n and you will more than likly find loads of reviews and probably some comparing the two
