hey, i bought my last mixer used, and less than a year later the faders started going on it. i was pretty pissed. it was also numark which i have come to the conclusion to are not very good. a nice mixer at the time i thought, but to replace all the faders was not worth it.
i'm thinking of buying used again if i can agree with the seller on a good price. the mixer is a vestax, i remembered reading somewhere (not sure if it was on here or not) that vestax had a pretty good life expectancy. can anyone tell me if they've had problems with the fader or anything on a vestax brand mixer they've had? if anyone has ever specifically owned this one,
i wanna buy new but the money just isn't there. and there are no good shops around here that sell quality stuff anyway and this guy is local.
can anyone help me out here? good idea? bad idea? can vestax mixers put up with the abuse?

vestax are a good mixer brand. if i was you id ask to have a go with it. if all the nobs and faders feel good and the general condition of the mixer looks good then i would go for it.
another thing you could ask is why he is selling, is he wanting to upgrade or get another mixer of the same type?

Yeah Vestax make good mixers. You also wanna try looking for ex display mixers which is how i got the mixer i use now. It came brand new & unused but without a box. I got it for less than half price.
