Does anyone else have a problem with Audacity. When you record then play it back its really slow like half the speed if so whats causing it?
It does play at the normal speed when i export it as mp3 though.
Is there better recording software out there rather than audacity?
Cheers

Hmmm...
That's really odd. It could be that the computer you're using is too slow to handle rendering the audio at full speed. Which would explain why it would do weird things when you play back in audacity.
There other recording softwares that are more expensive and also more computer memory hogging than Audacity is.
What are your computer's specs?

^^Hmm. I suppose that could be it. But I don't know about being slow, usually a shitty soundcard stutters and stops during playback.

Sounds like a sound card issue.

It will be because Audacity thought the sampling rate was different to what the soundcard thought it was, this happens to me in Cubase all the time.
For example Cubase is sampling at 48000KHz while Soundcard is set to 41000KHz, sound comes out at 85% speed :(
