Since i was 18 ive wanted to get a tat. The idea thats always came to the front of my head was a bass clef on my left wrist (on the inside) with 'Rhythm' written above it in caligraphy and a treble clef on the right wrist with "Melody" written above it in caligraphy.
After sitting on the idea for 2 years, i still like the idea so im gonna go ahead and do it.
I know its going to hurt like a bitch but i dont have a problem with needles or anything and its only going to be like 4 cm big... Can anyone whos been inked tell me what in general to expect and a estimated time fram to how long itll take to finish. Theyre going to be shaded black also.
cheers :)

I havent had a tattoo my self but when i was going to get one it was to be on the inside of my wrist ( a barcode with my prison number as the numbers ). I decided against it in the end but i remember alot of people saying that the inside of the wrist is one of the most painful places to get a tat. So yea i reckon it will hurt like hell haha.
Nice idea though mate would look pretty bad ass.

if u wanna get it done influx then go for it mate. at least ur bein sensible about it and thinkin it through first and it actually means something to u rather than just a load of scribbling.
my sister got her daughters name written on the inside of her wrist, she said it hurt but it wasnt unbearable. i've been told that the arse cheeks are the most painful place to get a tattoo, especially as it gets closer to the hole
i've been thinkin about gettin a tattoo myself. i'm designin my own tribal pattern to go across my shoulder blades (so it will mean summat to me). gonna get it done for my 18th cant wait.

No tattoo is ever 'sensible'. It's done with your heart not with your head as there is no way to tell in 50, 20 or even 2 years time if you're gonna still like it or hate it.

i know but wat i mean is its not just some silly idea thats just popped into his head n hes gonna go out n get it done rite away. my mate did that recently n he'll probably regret it soon. ther is kno way of tellin if your gonna like the tattoo in a few years time but you still need to think it through a bit.
but i do agree with:

Depends how big and how much detail there is, I've seen full body Japanese Yakuza tatoos that took months to years to finish.
I have a few friends with big tats, it took them several sessions to complete. Depends on the artist, how much time you have, how much money you have, how much detail you want and how big.

I'm a big fan of tattoos, I say go for it. I've got lots and have had them over a decade and have no regrets. You just have to get used to them like a potentially bad haircut that doesn't go away. Just remember, the will never look as cool as when they first get done, as you may have to get them touched up after the initial tattoo, but you won't know untill they are completely healed.
And never NEVER pick the scabs, just leave them alone.
If you have any questions about tattoo care pm me, and I can give you some pointers or tips. I have over 40 tattoos and I love helping people with tips and stuff.

Don't get one.
The choice is ultimately in your hands though. So i'd respact that. Aslong as you respect that fact that i'd think ur a total fool for doing it. :)
Just make sure its done right.
I knew someone at college that had the local football team emblem tatooed on his arm. The Emblem had a ram facing to the left. His was pointing to the right......
I truly havn't laughed AT someone as much as i did that day xD

If thats what you want then i would go for it, you only live once and all that crap:)
Only thing i can say is my mate has a bass clef on his stomach and imo it looks poor and just plain stupid.......
