I managed to complete my first EVER mix.. i learnt how to use virtual dj at like 2 am last night and i stayed up to 4 am doing it. Thats my dedication to happyhardcore.com :D

Ok basicly, its a cheese mix, i made a few silly problems LOL at parts like clicking the wrong button to cue, accidently moving the playing track.. and at one part i was really stupid and accidently beat matched things off beat to each other LOL cos it started out with a weirdly patterend sequence, but i quickly corrected that..but then i knew what i was doing wrong.. ok the mixing is a little sloppy, but it was 3 am right, so i was very tired.. cut me some slack ... for cueing, i think i had that almost nailed, i liked to cue slightly later (not too late) because i like to hear alot of these glorious songs...

this mix consists of heaps of red rockets (my favourite label) and are the songs that have influenced me all mashed into one mix. I really hope you enjoy. please comment. AND also, it showcases one of DJ FunDaBounces amazing tracks, Running show freak. its a bloody amazing track.

I even showcased one of my own tunes, coming as the second last.

TRACKLISTING
1. Habegale - I want your Mind (Mix version)
2. Spitfire - Move It
3. Who done it? - Clap your Hands
4. DJ Daydream & Space Ace - You are the One (Original Mix)
5. Oceania - Magic Ride (Crush Mix)
6. DJ Daydream - Galaxy
7. DJ FunDaBounce - Running Shoe Freak
8. Spree - Neverending Hardcore
9. DJ Daydream - Whispers (Fairyfloss Mix)
10. DJ Daydream feat. Zac - Forget about Me (Bop Pop Mix)
11. Dougal & Eruption - Party Time (Remix)
12. Crashmatt feat. MC Gruff - Going Round
13. DJ Novaboy - Fly with Me (Fairyfloss Mix)
14. DJ Daydream - Falling over the Moon (Rocketeers Mix)

I sorta learnt as i progressed in the mix LOL hence everything sounded better.

Little bits of criticism as I go along:

Dont' adjust while it's playing. Ever. Aim to sound like you're not even there.
If you keep the pitch adjustment within 8+-, you can easily pitchride without being noticed when the beat on the second track is a little ahead or behind. If you don't have physical decks to work with, the value of doing that is immense, as is checking out the waveform display. It's pretty easy to see where kicks are.
Pretty nice cueing on the first few mixes. Flows pretty naturally, but not very energetic, and definitely not using the freedom digital media affords you.

I'll listen to more of it later (about 10 minutes in), but so far it's sounding pretty good!

(Oh, and a little quip from Ishkur: "Don't call yourself a DJ if you can't mix at least 15 tracks in the set." Even if goa and trance DJs get away with it (usually because they have to), pretty much anything else is too easy to mix to not throw in at least 15 tunes.)
