I just thought i would take some time out to thank everyone who supported us in the past and especially in 2007! It was the most successful year that Raw Elements has seen since kicking off in 2002! We couldnt have made it through the year without all u guys! (mwa love ya!)
Also special mention thank yous to - Raindance, Twisted Bliss, History Of Hardcore Crew, X-treme-Energy, Eruption 101.3fm , Krafty radio, Epidemik, Al Storm, and Orbit 1.
Heres a little sum up of what kept us out of trouble :
2007 had 3 dance floor stomping releases:
Raw Elements 18 by Uplift and Euphony - Inside Your Mind (which was featured on clubland 2) / We Want Your Soul
Raw Elements 19 by Al Storm - Dropping Bombs (featured on Hardcore Underground 1) / World of Darkness
Raw Elements 20 by Sc@r - Dreamtime / Lift Off (scars debut release!)
In november we were excited hear that 'One' by Uplift and Scar feat Vicky Fee was featured on the Bonkers 17 : Rebooted compliation album! This track is one that will be jumping starting our 2008 releases and we're really looking forward to getting it out to ya all!
On the djing front it was a bigger year then ever for us! October and November saw the first ever North American tour. Both myself and Uplift playing in Quebec at Black Light 3 and twice in Toronto at Total Request 3 and 21 Guns Salute. It was one of the most memorable times of 2007 for us and we're looking foward to returning to Canada in summer 2008!
Over 2007 both myself and Uplift worked extremely hard and we're always out and about bringing out the sounds of the underground hardcore scene and exposing our new tunes. Even managed to get Uplift to dress up in a doctors outfit! Some of the parties Uplift was seen pumping out the sounds form oldskool to upfront were Uproar, Firewall and Total Alliance whilst Scar was busy at X-treme-Energy parties, Total Ardcore, HOH playing a back to back with Weaver and Saue in a Aussie hardcore set, and weekly on Krafty and history of hardcore radios. Combining the two Uplift and Scar are a dangerous team knocking out sets at Raindance, Epidemik at Ministry of Sound, Hardcore Evoltution, Nemesis and more recently Moondance on new years eve at Seone. You can still hear us on Eruption 101.3fm every sunday supporting londons longest running pirate radio station. These are just a few of the parties we played at last year but thankyou to each promoter who allowed us to join their line up!
During July of 2007 it was sadly announced that a friend to the london scene had passed away. In memory of Lee Newton - Sc@r, Uplift, Bean and Liam combined together with many london promotions to give Geordie a proper send off and the night was a huge success. A friend who is always in our hearts and will continue to live on there.....R.I.P Geordie Lee.
Looking up ahead, 2008 is going to be another strong year! Already on the line up for some great parties like Epidemik at Ministry Of Sound, Raindance, and HOH7, both Uplift and Sc@r are busy preparing for February! Raw Elements returns to Sydney to play down under for the third tour to Australia in the past two years! Representing the UK along side 12 other artists such as Breeze, Whizzkid, Al Storm, Sunset regime, and more, we are already counting down the days to return back to the Aussie sun! (and of course home for Scar).
Over the next few months we will keep you all posted of forth coming releases.... some include more from Scar and Uplift but also Haze, Antix, Suae, Clodhopper and Orbit1. So get ya raving shoes on and be prepared!
2007 also saw a new addition to the crew! lol (not sure if its a good thing of not) but the crazy welsh boy Mc Adam Lee joined the raw elements team on a number of parties. Great working with ya adam and hope we party with Lizzie more often ;)
Also waiting for a brand new sparkling website to kick off soon which will include a digital label and a Raw Elements clothing brand (though ya didnt hear that from us ;) )
Wishing everyone all the best and a successful 2008!
Love always
Kaylene and Steve
(Scar and Uplift)
