Ok, a love or hate situation......
Bootlegs are shite full stop, however, there can be some good ones, like Ripped to Fcuk.
What do ya reckon?

I think Sy & Onion should be roundly beaten for start the ripped 2 fcuk label and banned from ever releasing music again.
And since when is a dodgy remix a bootleg?

Ripped 2 Fcuk is one of the worst labels I've ever come across in any genre :p.
I think it's funny that people are using the word "bootleg" instead of remix in an attempt to somehow sound cool. Especially "The Bootleg Disk" on HA. It's a disk of fully licensed remixes FFS.
Anyway... I don't mind remixes provided they're good. If something has been done to death though, don't do it again!

Are we just talking about upfront Hardcore?
I wouldn't call all Bootlegs crap considering that many dance classics (and the foundations of the whole dance music movement) are bootlegs! There have been some classic bootlegs over the years and I'm including tracks that sample whole vocals and large chunks of other songs but use a different name (e.g. Liquid 'Sweet Harmony').
Obviously there has been a large number of poorly produced crap bootlegs to balance all the great ones.

alot of bootlegs are good in my opinion.
they are however infamous to being badly produced.
Nearly all of the juicy cuts were uttershit, i did like alot of bootlegs though.
Bootlegs arnt all shit. They can be really good, depends on the song being ripped off.

there's some good bootlegs, i enjoy a few r2f tunes. when they suck though, oh god are they awful... really hit or miss with bootlegs it seems.
but like every other piece of music ever created... some is good, some is bad...
