What does the 173.683 stand for? 173.683 BPM?

I think that might be a pretty good educated guess.
I recently got round to buying the UK mixes on 12"
Does anyone know where I can get a full length digital download of the DJ Ham mix of this?
Failing that any compilations it featured on?

Well, I was in band for 7 years, played percussion. I have never heard of a .### to a bpm setting. But who knows! Hopefully someone will answer!

Lol i had never considered that it could be anything else till you made this topic :P There is no doubt in my mind whatsoever that it refers to the bpm of the song.
And yes in real drumming you would not drum to that kind of tempo but in electronic music you can have that kind of accuracy :P

There is somthing about that song, the vocals and the remix! Anyone heard the Helix & Teknodread remix? Another good remix of it but there is more to hear! I haerd a bit of the Ham 'soft' remix which wasnt to my liking and there is now an Upfront version on Clubland Extreme Hardcore 4! I got it for my freind yesturday but I doubt that anything will come close to the 95/96 versions!

The new Breeze mix of it on CEH4 is bad.

Yup. Took me a long time to find this on vinyl. That was the track that got me into the music back in 95.

Ham's remix is possibly my fave remix of all time. But back in '96 when it was released I didn't hear it get played out once at any of my local nights or to any of the events I went to. The only evidence I ever had of it existing for years and years was on a Helter Skelter tape. It was a Billy Bunter mix just as he was starting his "Trancecore" output with Body Slam. That tape incidently has my fave songs of all time on it. That Ham mix of Burning Love, Slipmatts' remix of Fade & Alchemist's Keep on Tryin' and GBT's Better Day. At over a decade old my tape's almost knackered and can't find a CD or MP3 of the Set either :/

Ok...when you are mixing with vinyl, how do you know the precise bpm? Is there a metranome on the mixer or anything?
