I have to say, i recently purchased the Rave Nation the anthems presented by helter skelter.

Mixes by slipmatt, billy daniel bunter and nicky blackmarket. What more can i say. It's a hit in the making.

I loved on the discs that they've revived old 90's classic breakbeat/happy hardcore with a feel of hardcore what you hear today.

If only it could all sound like that today, because id be loving it non-stop.

What do you think about it? Do you think it'd be a good move if we heard more of the old skool tracks come back with a nu-style twist?

It certainly took me away from listening to gabber.

I also bought Helter Skelter hardcore 2007 the new generation, and it has also some great old skool twists which are fantastic.

Are you talking about the "Rave Breakz" disk? It's just average - bad, weak Nu school breaks with a lot of remixes.

Listen to real Breaks, it's much better.

I don't get this rave breaks bollocks. People were making breaks remixs of old skool stuff long before bunter and slipmatt decided to call their piss poor breaks remixes rave breaks.

It's breaks and poor breaks at that

Really?

I find this stuff much more appealing than UK Hardcore as that disc, i did listen to the whole think but weren't too fond of it.

Recommend me, some 'Real breaks' stuff. CD wise

I thought the album was really good too. A definate good move to hear old skool tracks with an up to date hardcore sound. But there does need to be more around though

Good to see another fan!

There will always be mixed feelings on these releases.

Most people would love say a Compilation like True Hardcore or clubland 4.

But there are fans like me who just don't like that mainstream sound, but with the rave anthems cd. It just sounds totally great hearing the old skool with a new twist.

it's good for new fans of the genre to listen to understand where most of it began.

I'll upload a mix I've done when I get a sec and send you a link. Don't know any CD's to be honest as I don't buy them but I have a load on vinyl.

It's probably only vinyl then, as i suppose they only bother putting the mainsteam songs on compilations which the public are familiar with.

I'll be looking forward to it, also DJ Seduction - DJ's Unite 2 [cube::hard remix] ... Now yes you can't say anything bad about that
