Wait, when I first read Gear Talk, first thing that came to mind, is a laptop, with a record player thing.
I'm a noob, total frickin' noob with this Techno thing, thus I'm just getting into it, I've already practiced making songs on Garage Band and MAGIX Music Maker, what kinda gear do I need?

These are games mate, you can't make real music with them.
Like Silver says you will want to download something like FL7, Cubase, etc. to give you an idea of the basics. Then other gear could include anything from Synthesisers to monitor speakers to huge mixing desks.
A "record player thing" (:p) is for playing music, not making it.

ya fl studio 7 is pretty good
i like reason 4.0 though its got some great samples
youll need a Midi keyboard though i reccommend Edirol PC-50 thats what i have
but im starting to look towards some vinyl/cd/minidisc turntables
kinda expensive stuff though for a 15 year old :(

Garageband really isn't that bad of a program to make music with. As far as the basics go, it can do just about everything that any other major sequencer can do. Of course, if you want a more advanced hardware setup, you'll probably want to consider a more expandable program like Cubase or Logic.
I, personally, feel that FL is the biggest piece of crap sequencing program out there, but like Garageband, I've heard some awesome music come out of it. It's not the program that's the limitation, it's the person behind it. You can push music production programs to do just about anything.
