peeled them (or not, if that's prefered) put them in a pan of hot fat and fried them FFS!
Go on Kathryn, sort them out.
....I dunno.... money to burn.... frozen chips....

I love Tamagoyaki and Onigiri. I generally eat a lot of Japanese food at lunch as it's so healthy compared to our food.
Ionosphere - think a few of us agree mate. :)

Frozen chips, not 'Oven Chips', are no healthier.

you can get them crispier in a deep fryer but you cant just let them sit in the oil. you need to dunk them in for 30 sec's - 1min then take them out and let the oil heat up again then repeat

Or have you got a sore wrist and cannot use a potatoe peeler?
I always prefer and use spuds for chips when i'm sober! but last night, after a few buds, just needed to bung a few frozen chips in the fryer as its a lot easier! but the wifes just has oven chips in and when i go shopping with her, i look for a bag of frozen for emergencies (pissed) but can't get them

Lays is good?
No one in the U.S. has deep fat friers.
Although I'd like to have one just to chuck random shit in there, like bacon and whatnot.
What do you cook with in Japan if there is no oven?
