When ever I try and do this I get a little gap between tracks on mixed CD's when I listen to or burn them. Anyway to stop this in WMP or is there a better program to use!?
Fed up of CD's getting trashed and not being able to listen to them. :(
Chars.

I use iTunes to record and listen the CD's on my PC. It used to do it too, but now theres an option to choose and say its a "nonstop" CD so it doesnt make the gap's.
Also some burners make automatically a 2 sec gap, so you have to also modify your burning programs settings.

Can you rip out of it though? I thought it changed all music files to something that could only be used on you computer or ipod...

Ah, safeness. So I can stick everything on an external drive as 320 mp3's and stick one on a CD if needed (with no silly gaps). WKD.

iTunes is only good for Macs :P I wouldn't trust it's mp3 encoder to be that good either (although i doubt it could be bad)!

I use Easy CD-DA Extractor when ripping CDs (both mixed and unmixed)
When it comes to mixed CDs, I prefer to ripp them to a single MP3, and save a CUE sheet file for it

I use Winamp Pro and don't seem to have an issue with the pause.

It is bad, i would recommend using Lame to encode your mp3's if you care about sound quality

I use CDex (with Lame encoder) to rip and DeepBurner to, well, burn. ;) Both free, both light, both good.

I used to use CDex, however i use Easylame now which is far superior. Although I've yet to see an English installer for it since like 2003 for some odd reason! Not that it makes any difference of course :P

when you make an mp3 it automatically puts a gap at the start and end of the track, i think!

also another way to stop this is somewhere in itunes options. itunes allows you to choose how much you want the tracks to overlap by. at 0 there is usually about a 1.5- 2 second pause. at 2 sec its essentially seamless
