Anyone else seen this and thought the same as me that it was an overhyped bag of turd? Got dragged along with my mates last night in the position of knowing absolutely nothing about it, I only learned 20 minutes beforehand it was all handheld camera POV filming. I heard people in cinema leaving to their friends saying "If you didn't like it you obviously didn't understand it." and thought to myself "What exactly is their not to understand?" It was an unidentified monster attacking a city, what other questions and concepts arose exactly beyond that?
I won't even go into the plaguarism of other films.

i've actually been wanting to see this, i've heard from both sides though (one half says it's absolute crap and the other says it's freakin amazing)...
Not sure whether to actually go see this one..

Only people I know that have said it was fantastic are the "Lost" fanboy sheep. It's just an average monster attacking a city movie. Just about every aspect of it to me screamed of plaugarism. Not only that but it can't really be classed as a monster movie as their is a distinct lack of the monster in it, it's mainly about the group of people, which is fine if you have interesting character's but the majority just annoyed me or had absolutely no connection with so I didn't care when they 'snuffed' it.
