Can anyone school me on mixing hardcore/gabber/speedcore? I know how to mix UK Hardcore and that type. But how about the even more crazier? I'm talking about The Speed Freak and Deathchant, and the likes. I tried just a while ago, and I can't see to get them to be beatmatched. I'm starting to get the feeling that it's my Technics, it'll be either too slow at 33 or too fast at 45. Or is there a certain technique where beatmatching isn't needed. I'm at a lost, need help!

Well, it's all dependent on the BPM.

So, some of those tracks are going to be really fast...and some will be around the speed of UK hardcore.

Be more specific. What tracks exactly we talking about?

Gabber is hard to mix with other genres, but when you mix it with itself it's not too hard I find.

Ah, yes, I'm mixing same genre with same genre. I'm on Technics 1210MK5s.

The records I have so far, and will be practicing with:

I find it easy to go from UK hardcore to gabber with songs like Ready for war or Livewired, which almost have the sound found in gabber, and after that its easy. But in your case i dont know, i guess it just takes practice. i mean ive been mixing for about 2 years now. Comparing what my mixing is now compared to when i started is like comparing scott brown and ranken. its all about practice

takes practice to get used to the speed and also, not all speedcore stays at a steady tempo either
