How can even anyone complain about it? It's sweet, hard, exciting and nasty from the start to the end! and the mixing is perfect! If u don't know anything about mixing u can't understand how hard it is too mix fast and keep it nice rather than doing it slow. The best mix on B17 for sure! :)

Thats exactly what i thought when i read this topic, more tracks obviously meeans less money because it has to be divided more!
I must admit when i bought bonkers 17 i thought Scott Brown and Marc Smiths disc would be best, but there are too many tracks on it that i cant stand! (Moonlight party, Nasty time, party alarm) I really cant stand those tracks, but it has my favourite tracks of the compilatiuon too (No More, Fall Into you arms, Get away, Environmental product). But as a whole mix, Brisk and Hams disc is my favourite, there isnt one annoying track on there, every track is good at worst. I woulnt say 28 tracks is too many, the good thing about it, is that its so different from what you hear live, live, every track is played for 5 minutes or more (the majority of the time), so its good to have variations on the c.ds.
If you re-read this topic Brisk, i will say this about your bonkers 17 mix, You didnt play Fracus - Snowstorm for long enough :p Its definitely one of the best tracks on the whole Compilation but is only on for like 2 minutes. Other than that, nice work

My point was not the fact that either Ham or yourself where out to make money, my point was that the more artists feature on the album then surley more individual artists would make money from the album in the ways of royalties.
It wasn't meant as a "Brisk & Ham are only in it for the money comment", far from it. At the end of the day you two must have put a fortune of your own money into Next Gen & BB to make it as successful as it is. So money grabber was furthest from my mind. I'm sorry if what I wrote offended you, it's clearly been misinturpreted.
For the record the entertainment value was never questioned in my mind - it's a great mix as are most of yours I've heard down the years - both CD's and live.

Just thought I'd drop in on this one seeing as my/our work is being commented on.
Both Ham and I are not trying to set any trends by cramming as many tracks onto one cd. Our ethos with the aforementioned compilations was simply to try and make the disc as exciting as possible! When presenting a project to the public we do not expect it to be to everyone's taste but we are extremely pleased that some of you enjoyed our output.

One last point - we are able to do things in the studio that we couldn't on turntables (quick edits, effects etc) and anyone who has had heard me live recently will know that my mixing style still focuses on lengthy and accurate beatmatching.
Bottom line - you can only please some of the people some of the time!
Regards & respects,
Brisk
I personally thought the Brisk & Ham disc was quality. Seeing Brisk & Ham on there was one of my main reasons for buying Bonkers 17. Don't get me wrong i love the other mixes too but pretty much everything from Brisk, Ham or Next Generation / Blatant Beats is always gonna be worth purchasing. Brisk & Ham on Bonkers 18 would be very nice to see.

I really enjoy Brisk's work. There is always some happy tracks, as well as more in-depth euphoric tracks, and Brisk always keeps the tempo up! Ham is another top artist to me. You really need to come back to Atlanta Brisk! The only Hardcore producer I have seen is Sunrize in 2005.
