Whats up, Im sure theres already a post about this but I havent checked. I own CDJ200's right now with a DJM400 mixer, and Ive been lookin to upgrade. The next decks I get are DEFINITELY going to be the CDJ800MK2's, and I wanted to know a few things about them.
I mixed with them at the store, and to me, they seemed a little sensitive ( I did bring a few CD's of hardcore with me ;]). Other than that I didnt really recognize any problems, they are seriously awesome. I wanted to get some peoples opinions and tell me the positives and negatives about them just to clarify! By the way, Im on the Global Hardcore Alliance with DJ Leto and Virtual XTC, check out the site =].
Thanks!

I own 2 800 mk2's and a djm 700, and in my opinion the 800's are great for a bedroom/mobile DJ. the 800 compared to the 1000mk3, well there is no comparison, the 1000 blows the 800 away. Only in my opinion, id only buy the 1000 if I were to DJ for a living or if i had that much cash just laying around. honestly the 800s have held up well through the years and i totally think you should get a pair.

I own the cdj-1000's and the 800's and they are both awesome awesome decks. Im thinking of selling my 800's soon though as I only really use my 1000's (as they are that much better) but its just a question of if you can justify the cash.
In my mind for a home level the cdj-800mk2's are the best decks around.

same as cotts i recently got a pair of cdj 1000's i got converted from the good old vinyl
you can do so much more with the 1000's similar with the 800's even tho ive not been on the 800's
the 1000's along with a djm 800 mixer great combination for a dedicated dj who wants to put time effort and a lot of money into it,
i must say they are great to use and yes takes a bit of getting used to.
overall if you are happy spending a bit of money i would reccomensd the 1000's anyday :-)

Alright, nice guys, thanks for the pointers.
I got a couple questions how they work and what not too. I know they have two modes to them; vinyl mode and CDJ mode. On CDJ mode your allowed to cue and on vinyl your not right? I know vinyl mode actually works just as if your using a record and a vinyl player, but I wanted to know a little more on it. I was also curious about the actual cueing...does it automatically cue at the beginning of the song when your on CDJ mode? Ive seen some of your vids cotts and sometimes you dont even have to do anything and it cues automatically.
One of the other things I was curious about were the spinbacks, because thats something Ive been wanting to be able to do for a while now. CDJ mode is where you can use the spinback Im guessing, but how good is it?
Thanks for the help!

With the cdj's yes you can cue with both vinyl and cd mode in vinyl mode it gives a feel of vinyl so u can search threw to find your cue point as you would on a vinyl,
on a cdj you have an sd card that can store your cue point with a click of a button at the top is you have stored a cue point for a certain track, so if it seems as cotts is doing nothing he probably is using the memory function to store cue points on them,
hope this helps
