With me it was Hardcore Tsunami 2, I bought the album in 2004 and saw this website on the album! I'd never ever visited a website before then (I'm old) but went on holiday to tenerife in september and decided to put a euro in one of them hotel computers they all have and typed in happyhardcore.com! and hey presto this site popped up with loads of info about hardcore music! (guess what I saved up for) anyway as theres 1000's of members here! a few from the start, many have left, and plenty of new people, how did you get here?

I was walking though Wal-Mart, in the electronic section, and I passed these Smiley faced cds. My 1st thought was that it was some disco album, but something made me go look at it anyways. The cd was "Happy2bHardcore: Chapter 4" and I read the bottom "15 continuously mixed Happy Hardcore Breakbeat Techno Anthems". Like most Americans, the word "Techno" was the only word that I knew, and at that time in my life, I was just seriously getting into "Techno" music. Well, I scanned it and listened to "Love Of My Life (Brisk Remix) by Northern Lights, and instantly fell in love! So when my aunt was putting the items up to be checked out, I sneaked the cd in the pile and abracadabra, I had my 1st Hardcore cd! This was also my 1st mixed cd, so I was like "what the heck" when none of the songs were fading out and cutting off before switching over.

Nice to see people read the op, not just the rather confusing thread title. :P

In Late 94, i entered this party and the DJ was playing happyhard in the main room. But my interest was really tweaked when my local club was playing "Check Your Head" and "Annihilating Rythum" before i started full time raving.

A friend of mine knew I liked the music and asked me to find out the name of a remix of a track (I'never heard i and have never found out). So I thought I would sign up here and ask.

I'd seen the site before but never signed up - I always thought I didn't know enough about the music to hold my own in a decent conversation.

Pathfinder & Virus where the first people to reply to my thread and I've not looked back since. I've had some great times on this site, meet some great people and some really funny people.

The good thing is about here is the good people far outweigh the *******s.

I found this site when i finally got a decent computer. The first thing i did was type in Happy Hardcore & this was the first thing that came up. I browsed through the site & really liked the look of it & all the useful info on here & was surprised how many people were members so in July 2006 i signed up. I would recommend to anybody who hasn't joined yet to do so, Make friends & get involved with the topics.

Hardcore Till I Die 2 and Next Generation Collection V2 had listened to these two CDs and thought Hardcore music is brilliant. It wasn't until December 2007 I signed up on HHC.com. Before I just used to visit the Next Generation Records website and listen to the music on there as that is one of my favourite labels.

I found a DJ Sy tape from Helter Skelter Progression NYE 1997. What a ****ing tape! First tune was Sound Assassins - Like A Prayer and I fell in love with it.

If your talking about how we first got into Hardcore. I got into it through my older cousin in 1990 who used to bring tapes round & got me into pirate radio. I have listened to it ever since! I'm also well into Jungle / Drum & Bass & Gabber scenes too.
