A little trick you can do to tighten them back up is cover them with talcum powder over night. In the morning wipe them over with a dry cloth, then put them back on. Unless off course they are snapped.

Another good bit of advice would be to chuck your turntables in a skip & by some decent Direct Drives. Belt driven decks are OK to start out on but you'll never get anywhere with them as they lose time which puts your mix out. Once in with a direct drive it will stay in & not drift therefore making it easier to mix. Get some direct drives & get used to them & you will be surprised how good your mixes will sound.

thx 4 the tip but what with the hardcore weekender coming up a fiver 4 a set of belts is the best option 4 now. my m8s got direct drives and i am amazed sometimes at how my mixes turn out and it just makes me hate my decks even more but theyre better than nothing 4 the time being

That is true. It's better to mixing on belt drives than not mixing at all!
