Our daughter Anna is coming home on Wednesday
Within six weeks she's seen off intensive care, the high dependancy unit, neo natal & a major operation.
She's a right little fighter and on her way home.

I remember when our Kai was allowed home after 12 weeks on the day we were moving house and we asked SCBU if they could keep him in for one more day and they were great! (Nik was a proper mum and wanted him there straight away but it was a big weekend for us) make sure shes a blue

that's great news mortis
I have never heard of a high dependancy unit, we just have critical care & intensive care units. just try not to do anything drastic when you get the bill for all this

I was wearing my Everton shirt on the day she was born - also, I've been whispering the words Everton to her on a regular basis.
Brian, I think critical care is the same as high dependency - could be wrong though, it's like a step down from ICU.

Funny how we don't pay our own medical bills just those of every sod that comes over to live here!
I'm not gonna hi-jack this topic but it had to be said!
Anyway Mortis matey, that's brilliant news! I'm glad the little'un is doing ok, it must've been a scary time for you.
When i was a baby it was apparently unsure if i was gonna make it past a week. My mother tells me how painful it was for her so i'm sure this is a world of relief to you guys.
Congrats again and all the best
