I started watching but fell asleep and never got the name of.
It was kind of Matrix style but going by the colours, fashion/hair etc. it was much older than that.
I remember there was a big transmitter thing that was making people think they were in a normal world etc. Some people started to see things for real though and there had been a nuclear war. Mutated people etc, all that. They were trying to bring down the transmitter from what I remember. Think some government agents where hunting them down or something. They were living underground maybe...
Matrix blates ripped it off.
Can anyone help?

Don't really have a clue but for a guess it wasn't Total Recall was it as that was on the other week?

well Screamers is about a war that's happened on a mining colony (?) among 2 factions. There was no nuclear involved tho, instead they used robot "swords" that traveled in the sands and attacked anyone that didnt give of the right signal (from an bracelet)

Ah it's not the one, I went and read up on it. Is no "reality transmitter" in this. Might have to give this a watch though.

There was a transmitter that was blocking what people were seeing and a guy found some shades / glasses that when you put them on it showed the aliens pretending to be humans.

that's kind of what I was originally thinking but there wasn't a nuke war in that, great movie though. really liked when south park spoofed the fight scene.
